American Eagles: Oscar Mercado Luna's camouflage cigar.
Oscar Mercado Luna turned different tobacco leaves into a true Dominican camouflage cigar. American Eagles connected product, service stories and patriotic purpose. The second generation is preparing its return with respect for the original idea.
Oscar's creation
A cigar unlike any other.
The camouflage was neither printing nor a decorative wrapper. It was formed in the tobacco itself, with natural leaves creating a pattern unique to every cigar.
Handmade in the DR
The historical brochure identifies Dominican handcraft and attributes production to master cigar maker Hendrik Kelner.
Protected design
U.S. design patent USD624693S1 identifies Oscar Mercado Luna as inventor; it was filed in 2009 and granted in 2010.

American Eagles
Product, service stories and purpose.
The historical “Medal of Honor” edition paid tribute to the United States Armed Forces, with each box presenting the story of a Medal of Honor recipient. The brochure also stated that a portion of proceeds would support what was then called the Semper Fi Fund.
That purpose is part of the legacy the family hopes to preserve. Any future charitable program will be announced only after a written agreement is in place with the relevant organization.

This is not about attaching an old story to an ordinary product. The original comes back first; new work follows with an identity of its own.
