Inside Casa de Campo

Seven glass-walled suites facing the Dye Fore fairways.

The house is built as a set of glass pavilions around one long blue rectangle: a cobalt mosaic infinity pool with five sun loungers set on travertine islands inside the water, a jacuzzi at the corner, and a lawn that runs out to the Dye Fore fairways. Under the cantilevered roof, a stone-walled lounge, an outdoor dining table and a second row of loungers face the pool; upstairs, a fire-pit terrace behind a glass rail takes the sunset.

Inside, wood-panelled living rooms, a long dining table under a cluster of glass pendants, a glass-walled library with floating shelves and a game room with a pool table open one into the next. Seven suites, each with its own stone-clad bathroom, have four-poster beds and window walls onto palms and fairway. A butler, a cook and two housekeepers are on hand from 8 am to 5 pm, with daily housekeeping and coffee included; a private chef, airport transfers, golf cart and tee times can be arranged.

Five suites have one large bed each: the master under a four-poster against a rough stone wall, with a sitting corner wrapped in glass over the fairways and the sea; a second glass-cornered suite with a leather lounge chair and a tufted leather sofa; a suite with a ribbed feature wall and its own door to the terrace; a pale-blue suite with a whitewashed four-poster; and a wood-panelled corner suite with two cane chairs at the window. Two further rooms sleep four each on two double beds, facing the palms. Every bedroom has an adjoining stone-clad bathroom; one adds a freestanding tub in front of the window, another a double walk-in shower.
